Yes, our wigs are designed to be comfortable for all wearers, including those with sensitive skin. We recommend trying on different styles and materials to find the most comfortable fit. For those with particularly sensitive scalps, there are a range of wig caps available to act as a barrier between your wig and scalp.

We recommend using wig-specific products and following our care instructions for the best results. This includes regular washing, conditioning, and storing the wig properly when not in use. We take the time to physically show you how to care for your wig or hair piece and therefore ensure maximum lifespan.  Our consultations are unlike any we ourselves have experienced as customers as we take the time to pre-empt all the questions we had ourselves when we were customers.  We understand.

We set up this boutique due to our own experience of hair loss.  Our farm location ensures privacy and our grounds and gardens allow you to relax, chat to someone with first hand experience of hair loss and wigs and take your time finding the right piece for you.  There is no pressure to make a purchase, it is a big step and we would encourage you to take your time to think about what is right for you.

We welcome friends and loved ones!  Sometimes we have several friends or relatives accompanying our clients for support and a second opinion.  We have lots of space both indoors and outdoors.  A cup of tea or coffee is always on hand.

We supply ladies and children's wigs and hair pieces for fashion, alopecia, during cancer treatment, for thinning hair, for FFA, for everyday, for special events or for any reason or occasion you may wish to use a wig or hairpiece.

Because we have first hand experience of wearing wigs every day, we have experienced a large range of situations and have solutions for securing them.  We can guide you through this process.

During our consultation we will measure your head.  If there is hair loss, we will measure the area of hair loss and will provide you with options.  If you have an area of hair loss that has stabilised you may wish to go with a topper or hair piece.  Many clients find this is a stepping stone to build confidence and may later move to a full wig.  If you require a full wig we will go over the fibre and base options and find out about your requirements in terms of usage and present you with options.  In either circumstance we will go narrow down styles and colour match to your existing hair or required hair.

People often visit doctors and the health service regarding hair loss and often, we have found from our own experience, the biggest part of hair loss is the emotional side, and this often is not catered for.  If you are feeling really down about hair loss please speak to someone about how you are feeling and there is nothing to be embarrassed about in struggling with these emotions, many of us, including ourselves have had them.  Alopecia UK has telephone support and you can call and speak to someone who has experienced hair loss themselves and they can also point you to further support.   Wigs are the way forward for some of us but others embrace going without these.  The main thing I would say is that hair loss can be quite devastating at first but ,the more people we have met and read about with hair loss over the years, the more it is evident that it can often encourage us to do wonderful things that we would never have done without that experience, from children who fundraise and educate others to adults who show a positive role model for living with hair loss.  For us wigs opened up a whole new world, and now hair loss is only a very very small part of who we are.  Like all change especially to our physical identity it takes a while to become accustomed to the new identity as at the beginning we feel like we have no control over what is happening.
