The Emotional Side of Hair Loss
Whether navigating wigs and toppers due to Chemotherapy, Alopecia or any form of hair loss, the emotional side of hair loss can sometimes feel harder to deal with than the physical side. We have walked that path and aim to provide a supportive, private and welcoming experience to other women on their journey. Our location on our family farm in County Durham provides a beautiful back drop whether visiting us in person or virtually.
Synthetic vs Human Hair Wigs
In the long run human hair wigs can be just as cost effective as wearing synthetic every day. However, they often just feel more like wearing hair as opposed to wearing different clothes. Obvious as that may sound, it is the simplest way to describe it. On the other hand, if unsure of style, colour or want to experiment, synthetic is the cheapest method to have fun with styles. It also lets you discover what suits and what you like to start with.
There is also a place for synthetic wigs even when you have a human hair wig which you wear everyday. Those older synthetics you started off with come in handy for holidays, in warmer weather or just for a quick change later in your journey. You may have a sister synthetic style already styled and on the stand for nights out. So if you start with synthetic it is never a bad thing.
Maintenance is Key
Maintenance is key with these human hair pieces and we go over all of this and give lots of tips and lived advice during our consultations. Our location is a private and tranquil retreat. You are helped by someone who wears the pieces we supply and has hair loss.
Our consultations are complimentary and are by appointment only due to our farm location. Providing both virtual and in person consultations from our County Durham location. We have many clients from Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Stockton and Darlington who visit us for both wigs and hairpieces. Many clients start of their journey via one of our virtual consultations which allows you start your journey from home.
