For many women, hair loss is about far more than hair. Support, confidence, and self-expression are especially important for those seeking wigs due to Alopecia in the North East.
Whether you are experiencing alopecia, thinning hair, hormonal changes or unexpected hair loss, it can affect confidence, identity and how you feel when you look in the mirror.

Over the years, I have met many women at very different stages of this journey, and one thing I have learnt is this — finding the right hair solution is not just about appearance. It is about feeling comfortable, understood and like yourself again. Finding a wig when navigating Alopecia is often about steps, and that initial enquiry is the first of these.
If you are new to wigs or toppers, it can all feel overwhelming at first. Human hair, synthetic, toppers, cap types, density, colour… it can be a lot.
This is why private consultations matter. Some of my clients have shared their experience via Google reviews…
“I felt very alone going through my hair loss journey, but not any more now that I’ve found Anna.”
“I felt very relaxed and under no pressure to buy.”
“I came in nervous and left feeling like myself again.”
“Such a relaxing and private experience. I felt completely supported throughout the process.”
“She talks from her heart having experienced hair loss herself.”
“I honestly cannot recommend… highly enough.”
“I’m so glad I made the trip to Beech Grove.”
Sometimes, what women need most is not pressure to buy, but honest guidance, reassurance and someone experienced enough to help them navigate the options.
For some women with alopecia, a full wig feels right.
For others, a topper may be enough.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer.
My advice has always been simple: start where you are, ask questions, and give yourself permission to find what feels right for you.
Alopecia can feel incredibly personal, and I know how emotional that can be. But the right wig or topper can often be about so much more than hair — it can be about confidence, normality and feeling more like yourself again. I wish sometimes that I could ask some of my clients to speak to new clients as I get to hear via subsequent phone calls, emails and texts how life changing their wig or topper has been for them but the scary part was that first step of deciding. Of course I would never share this other than via the reviews they have published but it does a make difference to people’ confidence.
