You get the fullness and confidence without the tie in of integrated systems. One of the key things about the alternative to clip in toppers (which is one of the reasons we chose not to supply their integrated versions) is life span. As a seasoned wig wearer a big no, no for alternative hair is wearing them to bed, wearing them when swimming or in other scenarios which you just would always wear something old as an alternative.
It would dramatically decrease the lifespan and appearance of the wig and lead to the need for lots of maintenance and more outlay in new wigs. However with integrated toppers you are wearing the same fibres, but because they are permanently attached you must wear them to bed etc. For some people though, I understand this may be a trade off to have something constantly attached which for them feels more like having their own hair.
Anything you clip into or attach to your hair, whether extensions, clips, wefts or toppers can cause traction alopecia. However, with clip in toppers you are reducing the time this is clipped in by having the ability to remove them and not sleep in them. Many of our clients only wear these pieces when going out somewhere and not at home, something you cannot do should you go for an integrated piece.
